The worst can come from the best intentions....

Well when Richard decide to save his wife from death he destroyed the towers of perdition that the ancient wizards built there to win the Wizards'war.... At the moment he couldn't realize that his action brought the New world in war agains't the Old one. Destroying the towers he let Jagang enter in the New world and bring the war in it. What do you think about it??? If Richard didn't destroy the towers what could change in the story?????? I'm anxious to know what your opinions are.....

no... jagang was going to the new world using the sea... i think there is a very small place at the edge of d'ahara (sp) that touched the water... Jagan would have still found a way into the new world...
or am i remembering wrong????

the water touch the westland if i remember right...

ok... thank you mordeth... hence, jagang had ways to get into the new world even if the towers were still standing... this war was inevitable...

yes of course but He can't bring so many soldiers with him like by the towers am I right?

remember that jagang had a great deal of patience so he would take his time shipping soldiers to westland before he even thought about attacking any of the people...

jagang would build his force and then continue to ship soldiers to the new world... it would end up being a never ending task...

Well considering the thing like you wrote in yor post it seems that Jagang didn't need Richard's help to invade the New world but if Richard didn't destroy the towers jagang had to face a lot of problems....

with patience all problems are over come... and jagang proved time and again that he had a great deal of patience when it came to spreading the order...

yes but his biggest problem isn't "patienceless" (?) but Time itself. Have you ever think how many years he needs to move all his soldiers into the Westlands by sea?????

you must think in numbers of ships... he can build many many ships to transport his soldiers... i don't think it is a matter of many, many years... and once about 100,000 soldiers land in the new world he would still continue bringing more... he just would never stop transporting soldiers...

Ok but if he moves also only 100,000 soldiers could it remain secret????? And what if Richard found them and destroyed them before they reach a humble number???

100,000 was already a very large number, one that the new world could not come up with...

but the 100,000 would be his initial force that is still being replenished... the replenishement would not stop... it would continue until he won the war...

IMHO if richard can’t destroy the tower of perdition jagang would have won the Palace of the prophets and he could live for long time, so the invasion of westland is not very difficult for him.

good point, i didn't even think of the palace... even greater reason for jagang to relax and take his time invading through westland... his soldiers would get old and die but he would be there pushing for centuries...

Yes but even if Richard didn't destroyed the towers, he also destroyed the Prophets palace cause he had to save his wife that was imprisonned in it

if richard had not destroyed the towers kahlan would not have become a prisoner... jagang would have taken over the palace and taken his time invading the new world...
